The Secret to Being Slim Forever

We live in a time of impossible icons. Our heroes are extraordinary; they’re better, stronger, faster, and slimmer than any normal person. It is not healthy to idolize a size zero model and aspire to be like her, but for the sake of good health and a long active life, you need to be slim down if you are overweight.

We don’t need to talk about how unhealthy obesity is. Everybody knows by now that it is the most common killer disease for our generation. By controlling fat, you get back in charge of your life. You can do more things, do them better and feel better afterwards. And if you have given up on weight loss, it is time to think again. Weight loss is easy. You can slim down without feeling like you are fighting the next world war all alone.

The secret is discipline. Discipline in eating, in exercise and in food choices. Being disciplined is not very tough. You just need to learn to say no, make better choices and pursue your goals with better passion. And once you have understood that weight loss is important, you will find it is easy to achieve it.

If you make it your desire to lose weight for good health, and not for cosmetic reasons alone, you will follow a better path to slimness. It is certainly better to follow a long-term plan instead of going on sudden diets alternating with eating binges. This way you’ll never get rid of the loose weight around your waist.

The healthiest way to lose weight is through exercise and eating low-fat food. But this is certainly not an easy weight loss technique. That’s because the body abhors exercise by nature and loves fatty food. Do you know why this makes it so hard to slim down?

Actually it’s all genetic code that’s stopping you from slimming down. When humanity was not yet civilized a full diet was not so easy to get as now. That’s why it was important to conserve energy (avoid physical effort) for survival and since food was so scarce, specially food with fat content (animals and nuts were the only source) human preferences are skewed towards high-fat foods. So now you can blame science if you’re not able to lose weight.

Jokes apart, if you want to stay slim you will have to go beyond dieting. Dieting can only keep you fit while you’re on it. Once you go off the diet you won’t lose weight any longer, in fact you will start gaining again. That’s why you will need to eat balanced meals and put in some exercise in your schedule if you want to be slim all your life.

You don’t need to be a marathon runner in the first week. Start with something less stressful, like jogging, light cardio in the gym or even Yoga. Anything that keeps the joints oiled and the muscles supple. You will be able to lose weight and get rid of the loose weight on your thighs and arms.

Lady Trainers To Go did a wonderful job at pairing me up with my Plano personal trainer. She is a perfect match for my personality! I love the fact that my trainer constantly challenges me to push harder each workout. By doing so, I am getting stronger, seeing faster results and feeling more confident. Overall, I am also feeling better and enjoying this new-found energy. Having more energy definitely helps me focus better and get more accomplished throughout the day.

My Plano personal trainer is also very encouraging. She’s always telling me that I can do more-and she’s right! Her encouraging techniques motivate me in ways I never thought possible. Before I can protest, I find myself actually doing it. With her encouragement I’m getting more than physical strength, I’m also getting emotional and mental strength. So, not only do I feel better about myself as a person, I feel excited about the pounds and inches that keep melting away!

I also love how my trainer mixes things up in our sessions. From Pilates, to yoga, to strength training, and much more, I never know what to expect. Instead of feeling bored, I find myself looking forward to our exercise time. If you’re like me, and don’t have the motivation to get in shape alone, I recommend working out with a Plano personal trainer from Lady Trainers To Go. It’s a great way to get the support and encouragement you need, and it will definitely help you make things happen!
